I've used ladder stands and a Summit climber for years. But, after getting back into bow hunting, I finally broke down and bought a lock-on stand. (Plus, I kept getting busted, at 21 feet, because of a lack of leaves and limbs on a thin tree. 3 does this morning gave me the serious stink eye.)
This one is at 16 feet.
I learned you can never have enough ladder sections or foot steps!
I will add a couple of screw ins at the bottom and also at the top.
I have a fixed rope that I will use with a jumar ascender for the climb up. Safety strap already installed above head.
This will still take some getting used to. Not all nice and cozy like the Summit.
Any additional tips on use?
