Are all hummingbird units and transducers interchangable? IN other words, if I change units do I have to change transducers and vice-versa?

No not all are interchangeable. If you have a Hummingbird dealer near you they can tell you which model takes which transducer or you can call Hummingbird directly. I went through this last year, fortunately I have a BPS 10 miles from me. I think there are 3 or 4 different transducers.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to match my Humminbird Wide View to a quick connect mount. My mount was trashed in a big storm that threw the boat under a dock. Seems like they hardly make a piece of equipment that isn't specifically designed to fit only one or two other pieces and no others!
