I have been looking into a hugelkultur system in my garden and realized how well it should work for small wooded area food plots. Search it out on the internet and see if it will work for you. The wood, brush, leaves, and mulch removed from the site is put right back into the process, the thing that stood out to me was that there was minimal moisture requirements using this system. Moisture is generally a limiting factor for ridgetop summer food plots.
