how to accurize a rem 700

whats the best way to accurize a rem 700 ?

Bedding the stock or replacing it. Lighten the trigger. Upgrade the glass. Make sure the crown on the barrel is good. Start reloading if you aren't already. There's lots of things you can do but there is no substitute for trigger time.

Main thing is inspect and polish the crown. Float the barrel unless its a ultra light contour like on the Mt. Rifle, then they even respond well to floating. Tighten the action screws up nice and tight and reduce the pull weight and or sear engagement/ overtravel if you know how. Leave the rigger alone if your not perfectly familiar with them. There are aftermarket triggers that you also can swap out.

Has anyone used a jewell trigger on a hunting rifle? I been reading reviews there good for BR shooting but not so great on hunting rifles. I'm trying to decide between timney or jewell on my 3006

any rifle can be accurate i have a nef single shot that will shoot consistent .75 @ 100 with 120 nbt

i have rem 700 that will shoot .2 and .3 and another 700 that will shoot .5 all day long

there is nothing like a rem 700 with great glass and a jewell trigger

i hunt with a jewell set at 14 0Z

in my 7 saum


i like zeiss for my glass


every one will have an opinion
but
if u want to make a 700 accurate it is as easy as brushing ur teeth
