I hunted one of my salt licks for the first time yesterday morning,was in the stand for a total of 30 mins when I shot a small doe out of it.Got down and drug her out to the truck and field dressed her there.With these warm temps they are hitting the salt still,and i'm wanting to hunt it again.Do you think if I hunted it in the morning that it would be to soon?
 
IMO no... But If I had a shooter buck I was after in there I might would limit my pressure there. But for just does, esp. young deer I would be right back in there.
 
THis is a small 40 acre property,I didn't run trail cameras this year so I have no idea if there are any bucks useing it.I'm really just want to get another doe bucks don't start crossing my mind until muzzy season.
 
Right back in it - I'm assuming the question is more about your scent though, and I'd treat it like any other spot you've hunted in the past.

If, on the other hand, you were asking on the aspect of having a'death' in the area - I've seen no impact in my past experiences. Last year I posted about hunting within stinking distance of a deer that was lost from a previous day's hunt....I didn't know it until the buzzards were roosting in my tree and the day's heat brought on the stank. The carcass was 30 yards down the creek, and I saw deer all morning. I ended up moving due to the buzzards, but that's all.

I've also watched them feed right past gut piles in the past.

Not right or wrong, just my experiences.

I like to disperse and keep pressure off all of my stands I wait til the weather is right. and imo from the way the weather is looking now I would wait til sunday or Monday morning maybe Saturday at the earliest. but that's just me.
 
I killed a buck last year at 10 yards with my bow last year on a Friday evening. Went back to the same tree and coulda killed a deer at the same exact spot. Let it walk but it didn't hurt nothing
