All I'm hearing is gravels popping and guns blazing from the road below my place. We really need some enforcement around here. I knew the weather would have everyone road hunting but my goodness it's bad.

Oddly quiet here as well. Heard a few shots but nothing like normal. Still haven't seen a deer.

Have heard right at 100 shots in Carroll county and no I'm not one to exaggerate. A lot of guns shot multiple times, several sounded like shotguns more so than rifle. But no joke, that's how many rounds that I have heard fired

Don't recall ever hearing Zero shots on opening day before. This wind is the problem I'm thinking. Gusting hard here!

0 this morning I could have shot one of my 2.5 year old bucks, right at daylight but passed. It was either the 7 or 8 pt, or a new deer. Saw 3 very small deer all by themselves this morning, so it looks like it is about to get good in my neck of the woods.

I heard my first shot at 5:20 before I had even left the yard. Someone was jumping the gun there a bit, don't you think?

3 Shots (2 were mine) in middle of Bedford county. When I took deer to Potts Processing out of Wartrace, they had already received 90 deer by noon.

Not much shooting at all on Ames considering it was opening morning. I think a couple of does and a couple of bucks killed. That's our first bucks since archery season opened. Pitiful. I heard about 25 shots this morning north of where I was hunting (off of Ames). They were all before 7:30 this morning.

Been a little more shooting this morning compared to Saturday but still not like past opening weekends.
