How many Salt Licks Per Acre

One per 160 acres (quarter of a square mile) is fine. I have out quite a few more than that (1 per 80 acres), but I will get the same buck at multiple salt licks.

Oh crap,my deer probably have high blood pressure then,I have 4 TRs and a regular salt lick on 63 acres.

I have 4 on 350 acres. It depends on the lay of your land. If you have a long skinny tract then you might need more salt locations.

one per 80 ac is better. Remember if you only have one or two and you get busted you may not see that deer again for a while. AND you may not know you were busted,ie scent left around the site. Turning the deer nocturnal. Once they start on a TR site they will never quit using it , but may use it at night only if they feel threatened !

I think it is how many your wallet will allow. I have 6 on 90 acres, but I am surrounded by fields and have a 4500 acre public hunting area 1/2 mile away. I feel like my TSI, soybeans, trophy rocks, mineral blocks, and sanctuary help me out alot. I have a county road on one side of the property and try to keep salt or any attractant away from there. It is actutally the sanctuary and I hunt the opposite side near my house.
