How many people re-use Broadheads?

I am just curious on how many people reuse broadheads? I normally check it and rotate it back in the quiver for an emergency. I understand doing it though since those things cost more than gold! You can't call me an avid archer in the least, I just saw this thread and was curious.

I do but it's because I resharpen them if they aren't damaged. I also sharpen my broad heads out of the box to be sharper than factory. Do not re-use broad heads if they aren't being re-sharpened.

Absolutely I've sent the same arrow through 3 deer in a weekend. Without sharpening.

As most definitely do, i use tooth of the arrow heads and resharpen them and reuse em. I bought a dozen for 100 bucks with there 50% of code during their sales, im well stocked for a while

I never shot a large amount of deer over the years and if I ruined a $10 broadhead I was ok with that, I was shooting spitfires in my xbow when I hung it up, If that amount is to high I reckon a bullet is cheaper but you will have to wait a month or so. All of my shots were pass throughs and it's rocky here in ETn

Same here. I don't shoot many and in the big scheme of things the cost of a head is negligible. I don't shoot like a champion and getting less so with age, so I appreciate the fist size hole a big mechanical leaves. But it comes with the cost of a head because almost never have I recovered one that I would trust to use again. But with that one shot I most generally have a freezer full of meat and a taxidermy bill, so the few dollars lost on the damaged head doesn't bother me a bit.

Absolutely. I iuse only 2 blade magnus stingers because their are so easy to sharpen on a ceramic stick and if they are ever damaged, magnus will replace for free. And trust me. The deer wont get to keep the arrow with them

I have and do. With mechanicals I always change the components if i reuse. With fixed resharpen and make sure everything is good.

As said above broad heads are expensive but really they arent in the grand scheme of things. Most people spend way more just on gas alone then a broadhead, not to mention everything else. Like a turkey load expensive but not in the long run.

I've killed multiple deer with the same Ribteks, Zwickey, Bear Razorhead, and ACE broadhead quite a few times.

well, i've only found one. and i wouldn't have found it if i hadn't seen it kick up dirt out in the field behind the deer during the shot.

I have several times. I use a fixed broadhead with interchangeable blades. If I can resharpen the blades I will, if not I replace the blades as long as the head is not damaged.

If they aren't bent I just reshaepen 3 blade. They usually last quite awhile if the ground isn't rocky. I shot 9 deer over a couple seasons with the same bh. Just replacing blades a rock finally bent the ferrule.

I resharpen my Tooth of the Arrow heads and put it the back in the quiver. With Slick Tricks I just swap blades.

I don't shoot many deer with my xbow. So, I'll just throw them aside - in case I feel like checking them out/refurbishing them in the future. I'll just move on to a new one.
