With all this variety of shot shells out there. How many pellets does it actually take to kill a turkey? :)

1, obviously. The idea, however, is to get enough pellets in a certain size area so that there is no doubt that at least one will find the sweet spot. While there is no magic formula, it has become fairly well acceped in the last few years that 100 pellets in a 10 inch circle is enough. So, at your farthest range, you would want your pattern to be at least that dense.
