How long is your noodle? :)

Thought that would get your attention. Seriously, I am about to make some noodles up. I saw a good video, with 24" 1/2 pvc & 12" of noodle. I am thinking of going that route. What dimension's are yours and are you happy with them. Any tips for a beginner? I saw where some people slide noodle all the way to the end cap and some leave a couple of inches of pvc from the end. Again, would like to hear your thoughts.

I always use a simple rule of thumb. My noodle should never be very far away from my meatballs. :D

1 foot long, i used a dowel rod just big enough to fit in the noodle. cut it 1 foot long and the the dowel rod also. i used some silicone to secure the noodle to the rod. i then put a brass eye ring in one end and tied the string to it
