Planted the lease already, but I can't plant at home because I live on Sahara Mountain I guess. I've got a 1/3 acre spot tilled and limed. If I spray the thing with my 25gal motorized sprayer it'll probably take 4 to 6 hours of standing around out there. The spots I've sprayed so far are pure dust once you get a few centimeters down. Is this a waste or will this process tide the seeds over until 2008 when it rains? I need to get this stuff planted soon, especially since I have the next few days off.

If you don't have adequate soil moisture, DON'T PLANT.

Here's any easy way to see if you have adequate soil moisture:

Scrape away the top inch of soil. Get a handful of loose soil from 2 to 3 inches deep. Squeeze the loose soil in your hand. Open your hand. If the soil HAS NOT packed into a ball and stays that way--if it crumbles out of the ball--you do NOT have adequate soil moisture.

Thanks, I figured that was the right answer but I'm coming down with "the fever" and needed someone to talk me out of planting.
