It can't help, but I don't know if the reason for lack of deer sightings is the full moon, or more lockdown. Neither are good, and the warm weather and raining red oak acorns hasn't helped, either. Comparing my luck this week to the first two week of the month, it's been night and day.
I stand hunted (big woods) Sunday afternoon, Monday and Wednesday mornings til about noon, and saw nothing other than the ones I bumped Sunday going in. I've done a little looking around, and continue to find the best sign in range of my stand. I mean SMOKING hot sign, like beds, droppings, and evidence of feeding under the red oaks I'm hunting. No, I'm not sleeping on stand. I'm just bumping them going in, and they're not coming back around. They're simply not moving much at all right now, at least during daylight hours. Hopefully this will change soon. If I went tomorrow, it would be a still hunt.
