Spent the day carrying in and hanging stands. So tired, but I sure do love being in the woods in the fall. Even my wife came out with me to make sure I didn't fall and enjoy the colors.

I used everyone's advice when hanging them. Now I'll let them sit for about a week and then start hunting the hills of Tennessee.

I am really hoping to score 1 deer or either sex just to prove to my hunting party back in Wisconsin I can transition and kill deer down here.

Red fred are they feeding on those beech nuts yet?

I don't think so. I didn't see any nuts on the ground.

And to be honest I didn't know what kind of tree that was. It was in the area I wanted to hunt, hand good back drop and was pretty straight, so I picked it. :o

I'm used to hunting corn, soybean and alfalfa fields, then woods packed full of oaks. The hill I'm on, would be passed over as unhuntable in Wisconsin, but its pretty a pretty common hill here in TN and I've jumped deer on it already.
