I've never hunted LBL and looking to place my 14 year old daughter in the draw for youth. I'm not overly clear how the process works and places to hunt for her. Any one have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction? Not looking for anyone's "honey hole" just trying to get an idea if worth the time/trouble and any practical tips. Of course, anytime is a good excuse to get into the woods and love spending time with my daughter...

you have to go on their site, create an account, apply and hope to get drawn. If you don't you will get a preference point. I usually get drawn every other year, but I have never put in for the juvi hunt.

look at areas 15 and 13.

Appreciate it very much. Did find the website. Will see if she gets drawn. I may try for myself as well... Never hurts to get a preference point.

Once you get your area ask for some advuce on here. Also spend a day scouting and have a plan B and C.

Any suggestion on a camping area?

There are camp grounds, but I have never stayed at any of them. I just back woods camp. You have to get a back woods camping permit (I think you need this to use the camp grounds too) and I just pitch a tent. To me it makes it easier, because once I scout I can usually find a place right off the dirt roads, where I parked and then I just wake up and walk to my stand.

Is there any cabins at LBL like at there is at Fort Cambell?

If not does the camping areas have hookups for a camper?

thnx
