limit is 10 and i am limited out. 10 grays, not a single fox lol
 
My opening day was today, we started at legal shooting light, I got 10 and probably missed another 10, the wife got 1
 
I didnt get to go opening day. Cousin who has never hunted them before asked me to take him today. We had a great time and he got 8! I was really proud of him especially since he was using a borowed gun. I could have made it a better outing but I forgot choke tubes and batteries for the mojo. I spent four hours shooting with a turkey choke!

Took my 11 year old on his first dove hunt Sunday. Birds were flying low and like crazy. Five boxes of shells later he had 7 birds. So that works out to about $5 a bird but man they tasted great on the grill tonight and I've got one happy hunter on my hands. Worth every penny!!
 
lots of shooting(3 boxes). very little hitting. ended up with 3 birds and 2 lost in the weeds.
did much better Monday. not near as many birds but I was hitting them. 4 doves and 2 pigeons in 1/2 a box of shells.
 
Got a limit sunday & 1 collard dove,0 yesterday,reckon they got pounded sunday,hope some more move in before sat,will be at them again some where lol
 
limited Sunday and Monday. Gotta love people though, opening I personally made a field, several hundred dollars invested and time. The family that hunted (not my family, but own the land) never said thank you one time. The one family member who did not get to hunt this year (too busy working, he is who I made the field for) thank me many times. People in this day and time do not have a clue.

one of the meigs co. fields was closed on sunday. I wish that's where we had gone on Monday. they carried over 500 birds off the field we were on sunday. I bet I didn't see 50 birds, not counting pigeons, on Monday.

you would have thought I would have learned my lesson last year when I forgot my chike case and had to use a neg 5 choke. All is not lost, well besides a lot of wasted shells, I ended up hiting 12.
 
Think it was the best hunt we ever had. Entered field at 2pm, walked out at 4:30 with my limit, uncle right before me and my ol' man right behind me. If a limit wasn't taken from our field it wasn't because of the birds!
 
Went Sunday and killed 8 plus a squirrel and had 1 shell left over from 1 box of shell since that's all I brought. Lost 2 to the trees and briars and gave 1 to another guy shot almost same time as me. I hit it solid but he blew it up made it bout worthless to eat. So would have had 11. Was done at 4.
 
I only shot a small handful of times, no birds down, birds were not flying well on Sunday evening or monday either. I might try and sneak out for a friday evening hunt. Got busy work schedule this week.
