The weather has cooperated and I got an early start on my little suburban garden this year. I had the lettuce covered by a hoop house and we've been eating it for months now. Peas are doing great and I'm having to pick them every morning. Peppers and tomatoes are in and doing good with the exception of one tomato plant that didn't look too good when I planted it; although it has some new growth starting now. I'm covered up in different herbs, thyme, lemon thyme, basil, lime basil, romary, chives, etc. I'm also trying some sort of small eggplant in a container this year. We'll see.

I'm just getting started. I had to wait for my cover crop to flower before i could terminate it so I set plants last week and sowed a little seed. The first seedlings are emerging and I have about half the garden left to go.

This is spaghetti squash

Just set out about 2 dozen more tomatoe plants this evening. Friend has a green house and was cleaning out her stock. I sure don't need them, but couldn't resist. They're Black Krim's. I've never tried to raise nor have I eaten one.

Got my tomatoes, cukes, squash, peppers, zukes and green beans out. But my cale, collards, peas, mustard, and broccoli aren't doing well at all. Those were all planted from seed but we got lots of rain for like 3-4days after I planted so may have washed them out. Some of the potatoes are about 6in tall but I think a lot rotted. Carrots, radishes and onions doing great. Will probably put out a few more tomato/peppers/spaghetti squash and in a couple of weeks maybe 3more rows of beans.

All plants are looking good. Tomatoes are about to the top of the stakes. I'll run another set of stakes along the top of the retaining wall and will train them over to it. Peppers are producing good. I also grew a mini eggplant in a container that is pretty cool and doing good.
