horses...fooplots....

i hunt an area that has a field way back in the woods on a ridge...that is surronded by woods for miles....i want to plant a food plot its a sweet looking spot...the only problem is that their a 6-8 horses on the land...i was wondering if that would pose a problem....

I would see about running a two strand fence if possible to keep them out. Unless i was planting some cheep seed.

Do not plant sorghum it will poison horses.

I would not invest a lot of money as your plot will most likely be overgrazed, but there is no harm in throwing out some 50 cents a pound winter wheat and seeing what happens.
