Horses and Deer

A fellow approached me a couple of weeks ago about leasing some pasture land from me to keep some horses.

Unfortunately, that pasture is right next to the best deer hunting woods on the land.

What effect would putting up horses have on the deer running inside the woods? I'd insist the horses be moved to another pasture for MZ and rifle season, but if it's going to have a negative effect I'm inclined to say no.

Any words of wisdom?

I know they pass through the woods at my dads farm and the horses will let you know. They will blow and snort like its a black panther,then you see a spotted fawn. I think once the deer get used to them they seem to pay them little mind.
