Horns after season

What is the law regarding a buck that you shot, but didn't find during season, and ran across the carcass and horns while shed hunting? If the horns are still in good shape, can you still turn it in to have it scored for record books?

It would not be legal to be scored in the TN registry. If it is legally possesed, it might be legal for the found catagory in B&C.

It very likely would not be legal to be possessed without authorization from an officer.
