Anybody else shoot these? You can find them just about anywhere and they are cheap. I'm thinking about shooting them this year. I've always shot Barnes but there is something to be said about ammo you can find locally without having to order them online.

I was shooting the 300 grain shockwave, switched after seeing the sst low drag. My partner uses the 250 SST low drag. Shot a nice buck at 206 steps in a food plot last year, complete pass thru in both lungs. The damage it did was impressive. It was a very long shot for a muzzle loader but he made it. He shoots blackhorn powder, not sure how much.

Superior accuracy out of my knight. Hopefully we'll find out how they do on deer.

Blackhorn 209 supposedly likes tight fitting sabots but my CVA likes the Hornady SST Low Drag and they load very easy.

Its the same sabot as the MMP 3P-EZ sabot except the MMP is black instead of red. You can by both the sabot and 250gr SST in bulk 50 packs and save a few bucks.

Thanks!

Midway USA has the 20 pack for cheap!

Not for me they are not. They get me for shipping and tax. :D

Its cheaper for me just to go up to Grafs and buy in bulk FTF.

These are a fairly good price though http://www.midwayusa.com/product/387624 ... uctFinding

Same 300gr SST bullet but no sabot. I got LOTS of sabots.

BTW watch for blemished sales. You can get bonded and regular shockwave/SST blems even cheaper.

pu some of the 300g sat from basspro and the knife place in Sevierville this weekend, they were $6 cheaper at the knife place ,I had to use a different sabot because of a loose fit in my savage, they shot good afterward . thumped the arm good too :)

pu some 250g sst and they shot good to 40y ,going with them for the first deer of the year I think, then a 240g xtp ect... ect...

I know but me and stalk hunter only had time to fire a few, I have to shoot a different sabot with them in my savage, they wont group with the 300g with the low drag and I didn't try the low drag with the 250g.
