Hornady FPB anyone?

Anyone going to use the hornady FPB this year? I used it last year and plan to use it this year agian..I hope I get to test it on more than 1 deer this year..LOL Looks like walmart isn't going to sell them this year like last..I guess because they didn't sell to good.I bought alot of them when they went on clereance. I'll be putting 2 777 pellets under them,what kinda of charge you guys gonna use,to those who are useing them?

me too,been whacking them for 15 years or so & haven't yet so i dont see a reason for change.bad shot placement causes 95% of deer loses,folks want to blame every thing but what it really was,if a bullet buries up 10" in a tree after hitting a deer it didn't do its job,i want all the energy dumped into the deer,no exit no problem deer will be laying within eyesight normally,least ways thats been my mileage but yours might vary :grin: ,mike243

I'm shooting the exact same load out of my tc omega. They are really accurate especially when my wife is shooting them.

I too bought a pack of these last year on clearance...havent got to try them yet but i think they will do better than my old powerbelt hollow tips... the deer i shot w/ those have no blood trail and run a good ways... I am a little concerned about the ease of loading these since there is no sleeve or anything but cant be too aweful hard i guess... im shooting a cva wolf w/ 2 777 pellets...

80gr 777 hopeing to put one down with the FPB in my NEF Huntsman. In my Kodiak Pro I believe I'm going to use 300gr SST...FPB's were just fighting me too much in it. Hard to load and I could not get them as accurate as I want. But, in my NEF Huntsman they glide down with ease for 15 to 20 loads and you could drive nails with them...Those that think ML is just like single shot centerfire are :crazy:

i used them last year but never got to kill anything with them as i remember but i am with them for a while as i bought them on clearance at walmart and i like them.
me thinks to 50 grain 777 pellets behind one of them is the thing i will use this year.
I was set up to use 130 grains last year but i am tapering back.

Tried them last year in my Triumph w/ BH209.
Wouldn't group worth a darn for me.

I have been shooting them with 90 grains of 777 in my T/C Black Diamond. Hope to find out how they peform on deer this Saturday. :) That is, if I am finally over this flue bug that I have been fighting.
