How did you make your beard mount

i took a plaque that i have on the other wall not in this pic that has anther fan and beard on it, took it a part and used it, just drawed the outline on to the wood i used cut it out on ban saw then routed the edges and just painted it with left over paint i had from when i built my house the two boards the beards are on are 1" thick with 1/2" slot cut on bottom side to slide the beards into, used small brad nails to hold them in there with

there are 36 on that and a few more on plaques on other walls not in the pic but 3 of those are my brothers he does not hunt any more and could care less about them but i do since i was with him when he shot them i also have the set of horns from the only deer he ever shot

What do you do to your spurs after you cut them off?

poke out the marrow and put them in ziplock bag with borax i think for a couple of days then wash them off and slide them down the wire, the guy that mounts my stuff gave me that powder whatever it is
