honda help please!!

I have a 94 Honda foutrax that I love, I am not a mechanic so I don't have a clue but hope someone here can help. It will crank and idle all day long but when I give it any throttle it wants to die...any suggestions?

Old gas "gummed" up your carb. Usually letting it idle will eventually break loose. Just remove the bowl and unscrew the jet and clean it with some solvent from a Honda shop. It should run just fine. Ive had this problem last couple years the gas doesnt stay fresh very long. Also seems if you turn the vent on the gas cap to off it will help.

After you get though doing that get yourself a can of Sea Form.

Put 1/4 can in your gas tank and fill it up. It will clean everything out and keep it that way.

I already ran some sea-foam through it, must be gummed up pretty bad.

Ethanol KILLS motors!

I have a 98 300 4x4 I bought new infall of 97' NEVERhad a problem. BUT I always use NO ethanol fuel and Stabil. (use Stabil ethanol formula in my boats, farm truck and chevelle) every time u are not going to use your Honda for over 2-3 days, turn the fuel petcock off and run the gas out of the carb!

I've got the same thing but a 99 and NEEEEEEVVVEEEEERRRR run gas with ethanol in it and actually use premium. I don't add stabil but do start it once a week when I'm not using it.
