Yesterday morning my Warne High 722M rings were delivered and I was able to properly mount the Burris Droptine 4.5-14x42 on the CZ457 Acculite (previously known as the Varmint Enhanced 😊) and got some trigger time in. At the end of the session yesterday afternoon it occurred to me that I had not shot the rifle without the suppressor on it. So I took it off and couldn't find my thread protector and I went ahead and shot anyway. DAMMITMAN! A 2" group at 50 measured yards. This morning I found the thread protector and wondered if it was so important to barrel harmonics that it would tighten the group. NOPE! Point of aim for both groups was the center of that black dot. Apparently this 16.5" Acculite barrel does not appreciate being shot without a suppressor. The circled groups in the picture below tell the story. The 5 shots in the white are unsuppressed. The 5 on the 1" black dot are with the suppressor and no adjustments were made to the scope. As far as ammo preference, those 10 shots were with SK Standard+ but as the other shots show, it seems to like Long Range Match, Rifle Match and Lapua Midas+ equally well.

Yesterday there was no wind at all. This afternoon I had anywhere from 0 to about 7mph from my 3 o'clock. It's very apparent that I will only be shooting this rifle with the suppressor that I've sighted it in with. That was my goal when I started this build but I had no idea that the barrel was gonna be this way.
