holston river

didn't want to hijack the trout stream thread so...

i have a couple of questions for Bigg'un.
i have been wanting to try the holston and wonder about access for float trips, distance between access points,time required. is it safe to float in a canoe during generation?

would this boat be too big? 16 ft. w/25hp

You'll have to give him some areas. Church Hill to John Sevier Dam, John Sevier Dam to Cherokee Lake, or Cherokee Dam to Knoxville.

below cherokee dam for the trout. i was just fishing :grin: for some tips on a change of scenery as i have never been there.

Ramp below Cherokee Dam on Jefferson County side. Next TWRA ramp at Nance's Ferry about 12 miles downstream on Grainger County side. Probably need some generation to float a jon boat down. Some very good smallmouth fishing as well.
