Thinking about putting one on my Ruger mark II. Looking at the one with 2 pillers. Anyone had any experience with these stocks. Good or bad.

It's a hunting rifle Ruger stainless mark II in 280. I just don't like the feel of the factory composit stock. Will the gun need to have any further bedding done to it with the hogue stock.

The Hogue is definitely a step up IMO,I put one on a 308 that I had it was a lot more pleasant to shoot than the boat paddle stock. The one I had was the two pillar type and it shot well.Well made stocks for the price.

I've got one on a Model 70 Featherweight. I like the rubber molded part of it. Doesn't get slick when wet and has a sound deadening effect when makes contact with your metal stand. It did add quiet a bit of weight to my gun, but the way it kicked before i appreciate the extra weight.

I'd buy one again.
