i have leased a farm in putnam co. and was wanting to know how the hog population is around this area.. if anyone could help let me know.. thanks.

Coming from montery to cookeville (place is rocky point) on right there is a field that has a cell tower in it and a couple billboard signs just past a right turn. Sometimes u can see hogs in it early in the mornin.

I grew up on Buck Mountain (front of Brotherton Mountain) and never saw the first hog but some of the locals would see them every once in a while. They are there but there are very few.
 
Heck yeah theres hogs in Putnam county! I killed one yesterday and ate some of it tonight.

I think you meant you killed it back when gun season for deer was in, RIGHT???? Otherwise, you arent allowed to kill them with anything except a BOW right now!

he explained that it was on a depredation permit in another thread.
 
Wished I had one of those permits! I killed 3 the other evening with my bow! When that first one went down squeeling, the rest of em just stood there and I shot till I ran out of arrows!
On second thought, I dont want a permit! If I had one, then the federal boys with their helicopters and shotguns would be there killing something new Ive found that I like to hunt!
