Hog Hunting in Middle TN

Anyone see any hogs in the Rutherford and Williamson county areas? I met a guy a few years back that said he saw them while deer hunting in Rutherford County.

I was deer hunting in Williamson County right along the Rutherford County and kicked something up last year that I did not get a real good look at. I just saw its back. It was dark brown and about 2 1/2 to 3 feet to the top of its back and probably about 3 feet long. It ran close to the ground and was very fast. It was not a deer or a dog. The only thing I can think of was that it was a hog. I went out to the TWRA website and they have that area as listed for having feral hogs. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered any in that area. I just wonder if we are going to end up with a big feral pig population explosion in that area.

Jim, how are you.Last year while doing some things on my famr in the Williamson/rutherford Co. area, I got pics of a huge hog. I tired to hunt him, but have been unsucessful doing so. There's only one-thus far. However, the other week I was checking my gmae cams and stumbled across the old fella...well, he sacred that crap out of me. He's huge, and when he ran through the brush it sound like a mack truck. They're in the areas!!!!

I hunt out in the Triune area near the castle. Are you anywhere near there? I had told someone else that hunts the same land as me and they said they had not seen any there but that they knew of someone who had trapped a couple in the area.

I hunt Wilson County on the Rutherford County line and have not seen any. However a guy at work that lives in northern Murray County that has seen one hog on his property.

I,ve hunt all over Rutherford and Wilson counties and never seen a hog while hunting. I do remember in the early 90's i found one on the shore of Old Hickory Lake near Shutes Branch.
