I bought an HME Bow Holder a few years ago and never got around to using it. I fixed it to my Summit today and tried it out. I like it! It will save me from having to screw in that EZ Hanger everytime plus I can get my bow with less movement.

Anyone use one of these on their stands?

Third Hand bow holder along with Third Hand Stabilizer straps

I've got those Third Hand stabilizer straps...greatest thing I've ever done for my Summit climber.

x2 Everyone should use those straps. As nice as my Summit's are put those straps on and it's rock solid. Money well spent.

I was researching those last week and found where some one had made there own out of lashing straps so I picked up some for $6.00 and attached them to my stand. It works awesome I love how solid it makes it.

Used the HME bow holder on a Viper for 3 years. Switched to a Third Hand this season and there is no comparison. Can now climb with the bow in the holder. No more bow rope. So nice and secure.

I have the Third Hand stabilizer straps on my Summit and love them! Whats the difference between the HME and the Third Hand bow holder?

The two seem to look similar in comparison I have not used the HME. With the Thirdhand you can put your bow or crossbow in the climbing position and climb the tree with your bow attached to your stand. I really like mine.

The Thirdhand is larger and just more substantial. It allows you to climb with your bow and set to any comfortable position without tools. So universal it can be used with any type bow including crossbows. Go to his website and look at the videos. thirdhandarchery.com. Jim is the owner and a great guy to talk to about many bowhunting topics.

Jim has help me with my latest decision. I'm changing to a rock climbing harness to use with my summit. I have been concern about self recovery and feel this harness will make it safer and easier.

Are you on Archery Talk? I'm General RE LEE on there. Third Hand Man is on there big time. That's how I got turned on to his stabilizer straps.

Been using a mountaineering style harness for several years...and why it took me so long I'll never know! I just wish more would take a serious look into it as it a much better way to go.

First hunt this morning with a Black Diamond Vario harness. So nice with the climbing rope in the front. So tired of the rope slapping me in the face while climbing with my Summit. Got to use the hood on my coat for the time in a long time at 18 degrees. I won't be going back to my SOP harness.
