Or atleast that is how I feel right now.I've been hunting the same 104 acres for the past 9 years,I love hunting it,it has a extreamly good trail system through it,but the owner told me when he first game me permission to hunt it,that he didn't want anyone driving around back in there for any reason.Shortly after he put a gate up and pad locked it.I hunted it all this time with out useing any atv or tractor/truck to retrieve the deer. And let me tell you, there are some steep and long hills that lead down to the big 50 acre flat creek bottom thats on it.Thats where the best hunting is on the place.

Well today I drove over there to ask if I could use my dads TC30 compact tractor to only retrive downed deer down on the creek bottom. He was more than happy to let me.I was thrilled, and still am that I never have to drag another deer up one of those long hills again..He said he'll have to go to town monday and get a copy of the key made. He's gonna give me a key to the gate..WHOOO... Can not wait for MZ to open up..Thats when I hunt the creek bottom..

Reason i'll use the tractor,is because my dad live right beside the property,I can shoot one, leave the key in my truck at the gate, and call my dad with my cell phone and have him brind the tractor on down..It's almost a guarantee to see deer down there.Last year I had counted up to 21 in a morning's hunt.

you needing any help shooting them 21 deer in 1 day let me know :D

Jk with ya, congrats on the no drag anymore. I had to drag one up a steep ridge and across a field when i shot one and it ran on anothe r mans property 2 weeks ago. Which of course we have an agreement to go get them if they run on either side.

Kind of how i feel when i checked my cam today. Put it up over 1 of 5 big rubs i found not 20yds from my stand and made a mock scrape. just knew id have a big en on cam. had 209 pics from last fri but nothing bigger than a 6pt. oh well hes there a cam only covers so much.

Must be nice, I got 900 acres all timber setup the same way (steep ridges, deep hollars) that my dad and I only can hunt and we cant take a vehicle or atv in either. I dont complain one bit tho cause the people dont charge us a dime.

I thought the same way for years, the owner doesn't charge me anything to hunt it.So I didn't want to get greedy by asking to drive on it.But a man can only drag so many deer before he gives out..LOL And plus my main drag helper (my dad) is getting a few years on him,and I wanted to make it easier on him.
