Gave my boy the choice of what he wanted to do on Labor Day and he chose the Caney.
Seemed to be on fire in the morning. Bunch of your average 9"-12".
Landed a good one though that peeled a fair amount of line off as it toured the river.

That big one took off like a rocket once he knew he was hooked.
 
We were on the Caney Sunday ofter church and we talked to a gentlemen that had a 22" Rainbow...what a beauty...

With that being said after talking to him I eased off the bank and I spooked a Brown that had to go 27+ inches...It was huge...

I spoke with a Corps guy when I was there. Said a lot of good ones were being taken this year. Still haven't got a brown yet, but sounds like that one was a beauty.

I found out that I can put my boat in if I stay at the dam...They say browns like to hang out near the damn...I wish it would rain so they would release...

One generator and the sluice gate has been on at some point almost every day for awhile. Should run from 9am to 11am today.
