I have posted in the past about a group that leases land in Lincoln/Moore County and expands their lease to include boardering land that does not include their lease. They will go as far as posting the land with their hunting club signs. They have done this to a number of property owners surrounding their lease. The owner of the land they lease is absent...lives out of state...and is only concerned with the income the lease brings. This past weekend I came across two of the expansionist putting up their hunting club signs on land well within the boundry of my hunting land. As in the past when they are confronted they will back off and take their signs down but you have to stand your ground. It is much to easier stop them before the season starts. I guess the point of this post is KNOW YOUR PROPERTY LINES and PATROL THEM YEAR AROUND.
 
Seen it in California and Utah. BLM land posted is not rare at all. Anyone adjacent to National Forest nearly always posts quite a few acres that do not belong to them.
 
Hunters who put up "No Trespassing" signs on land they don't own or have permission to hunt are one reason other hunters tresspass. They figure the signs they see are bogus anyhow.

You are right. You have to stay on top of this situation or these peckerwoods will take over. The longer they go unchallenged, the harder they'll be to get rid of.
 
Glad you caught them in the act. Hopefully they will get the hint and stop their antics.
Your right about knowing the property lines. I know every inch of my lines. Luckily (so far) I've had no trespassers that I know of.

Unfortunatly they will try it again in a few years....maybe this or next year. So far no vandalism has happened or woods burning. I do not want to get law enforcement involved. Rather just keep things as low key as possible.
