Killed this buck on Wednesday at 9am. Chased a doe down to 20 yards and was going to leave with her quickly. Split second decision to decide to shoot because of the thick cover my stand is in, but when he turned his head away, his brows were too much for me to handle. Made for a memorable hunt as I loaded him up on the 4wheeler in the same spot that I killed a good 8pt last year. Also, he must have been a range shifter because I had no pictures of this deer ever. But I checked my camera on the way out and he showed up on the 11th and the 16th. Blessed again with more than I deserve.

There is a scrape about 3 feet to the left of him in that picture that you can't see. I started making a mock scrape there 5 years ago and over time it has turned into a community scrape.

Great buck! Lincoln County has been on fire this week. Lots of chasing on my place. I saw 4 bucks yesterday and two Friday.
