Hiking and fishing

Get a map and look at the Cherokee Nat'l Forest. There's bound to be some trails and some fishing spots there.

What kind of fishing? Fly fishing?

bald river, north river, sycamore creek. i have fished all three of these and not seen another fisherman.

There are so many places to go, I can't name them all. A good starting place would be to hike up the Benton MacKaye trail above the powerhouse on the Hiwassee River and fish for bass. Because it's above the powerhouse, you don't have to worry about generation schedules and it's all public land.
