Yodel, when is the typical breeding season, Late Janurary as you said and Feburary??

That one I killed in other thread was Febuarary Dog and called in 3 that morning, killed the female but didnt find it til days later by the land owner!

I live in southern mid TN, it usually happens around the first to the middle of Feb in my area. Most yotes you kill before breeding season will be males, as the females are denned up. When you notice females on the prowl during this period, breeding has begun. One other thing to look at is the male's testicles. They only drop during breeding season.

Wow I never knew this, ofcourse I jus started 2 years ago, They are few far and between in East Tn but they can be found ;)

Keep in mind, just like deer, there will be some breeding early and some late. And same as deer, males are usually ready before the females. But Feb is peak breeding.
