ive been using pyrodex pellets in my inline m l for the past couple of years (still using the same box.. in other words this box of pellets are 3 seasons old) . my question is this.... a guy at work told me that accuracy would diminish the older the pellets are.. i keep them in a dry cooler so i wouldnt think moisture would be an issue???

what are your thoughts??? and reasoning???

thanks in advance...

and good luck this season!!!!!

Gun powder does deteriate over time, it doesn't last forever, however at only three years it should be fine. Up till last year I used the same can of 777 for 6 years with no change in accuracy. As stated above, 777 does have a tendancy to attract and retain moisture.

as long as they've been kept in a dry place they should be okay.

just for an experiment take a pellet and put it in a humid place like the bathroom. watch it for a few days and you can see a differance.
