A friend is out of town working. I've offered to take his 9 year old on the juvi hunt. I'm pretty sure he don't need his HSS or a license until next year.

If I'm correct on this, how do I check a deer in for him?

I think I dreamed that his parents need to call and get a twra # for him.

Anyway, any help is appreciated

He does not need a license until age 13, and the HS is age 10. He will need a type 94 permit if you hunt on a WMA.

You can usually call in advance of the hunt and get his TWRA profile set up so he will have a TWRA ID # where you can check the deer out online. The parents probably need to make the call to the License Sales Div. at (615) 781-6585. They will need his SS# to set it up.

If that doesn't get done, you will have to go to a physical checking station to check it in. They will create the profile on that first check in. Again, you will have to have is SS# to check it in. After he checks one in and has his profile created, all of the check in options are available.
