Well it started again this evening.That bunch from Canoe the Caney came down with a bunch shooting off those explosives right about dark.Boys i am getting about tierd of this crap but what can be done about it.It don't look like ther is going to be any peace an this river till it gets cold.
 
Can't make fireworks illegal or limit their use like in other states, that would be like telling people what to do.....common sense....the least common of the senses.
 
The fireworks stuff was happening on Saturday, too, and enforcement came but couldn't catch them. I'm calling personally tomorrow. Perhaps I seem like a jerk, but I call every time I see or hear something. Mostly, I'm picking on creel violations.
 
Customers. Just kids having fun, but I'm too old to put up with it and I ain't that old. It's distracting, I imagine it freaks the fish out, and it may or may not harm them. Some of these were purposely detonated underwater. I would have pounced on these kids myself, but I didn't want the posts the next day to talk about how I got my butt kicked by a 14 year old little girl. :grin:

I wonder if it would do any good if one of our senior members just talked to them. Maybe explain how that pissed us off and we really didn't want to ruin their fun but we didn't want to sink all their canoes, either. Maybe Stillinscrubs could be in charge of that.

I don't know. Have not encountered this. But I can see how it could be disconcerting. I can see a television movie in this.
 
I will have to admit this morning after looking at that big fancy billboard, I had second thought's about wanting to go fishing. Pirates and romantic picnics looked like fun. Seriously, these people dont even know what a fish is.
 
I'm going for the Black Pearl. Seriously. I may be opposed to it, but that is just dadgummed good marketing and a great example of the free enterprise system. And it is working. A group of, I think 12, from here in Lebanon, went yesterday.
 
I wonder if they pay licensing fees back to Disney for all that Curse of the Black Pearl stuff? I hear Disney is pretty protective of their trademarks. I'd hate to see them go after CanoetheCaney.com for licensing fees and damages. :whistle:
