Well I finally got some shells in for my 17 wsm and I dug it out of the safe, here's the gun.
Dont let anybody tell you these guns are an axis because they are built much better.
Here's the size comparison between the two shells,
I really like the rifle and I got it "good enough" at 100 yards. They are changing my shift at work and assigned me to a different job so I have been a nervous wreck the last 3 weeks, it didn't take long before I got hot, sweaty and irritated but I still managed about a 1" group at 100 but this gun is more accurate than I could have been today. I'll have to get up early one morning or get someone to shoot it that has the mindset to do it at the present time.
That being said I'm leaving it alone until I get more ammo it will kill any critter I can see at 100.
Pros: I like that savage has produced a rotary mag, and the gun is solid built
Cons: the safety is hard to get to if you have big thumbs and the bolt is stiff, I think this is something todo with back pressure
