I`d really like to shoot an XD. I much prefer them over the Glocks.

I like my XD better than my old Glock. But the other day I went by my local custom shop and felt a Glock that they had worked on. My biggest complaint about Glocks is the grip angle causes me to shoot high when point shooting. He had fixed the grip angle problem by cutting the hollow area behind ther mag well, causing a more natural vertical grip, and also making the grip diameter smaller in the hand. He then molds new plastic in and gives it texture to make it sticky in the hand. I call it a Glock improved!

wow...the one's I've been looking at at Gander were 549 before tax and yellow form...do they have any in 9mm where you got your's?
