the ground is allready worked/limed. I just wanted to know what yall spray while the plants are in the ground. But yeah it is just broken up soil now.

round up mixed just a little bit weak is what weve always done, but there really is no need to spray till spring. sprayed around my yard earlier this year and the clover is the only thing that survived.

If you already have the ground worked up. But nothing planted... Use some stuff called Preen. it's a weed killer. Just spread it on the ground and let the rain wash it in. Then come back with another layer. Plan it out several weeks to a month before you plant your biologic, you should be fine. and without weeds.

I don't think you need to apply a preemerge herbicide. If you do read the label very well because it's holdover may kill what you intend to plant later.
You would be better off to let the weeds and grass emerge and spray with a quart of roundup per acre. Five gallons of water per acre/ one quart RU is the norm to shoot for when spraying. A few ounces of 2-4D mixed with the roundup might give a better overall kill.
