I bought a new Rem 700 in .243 Varmint model back on black Friday. I had 3-9x40 Nikon sitting in the safe and put it on the rifle, about a week later I found 2 brand new Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn 6-18x50 in my den closet, so I through one of them on it. I noticed both were threaded for sun shades, but after a lot of looking and research, found there was nothing avail. for that model scope.
WELL.................low and behold, I come across a supplier that was advertising universal sun shades that claimed to fit the Bushnell. I ordered one on Ebay for @ 23.00, it arrived yesterday, and it fit like a glove. It was alum. not some cheap plastic crap.

So, if anyone out there has/uses this model scope or a different one that they are having trouble finding a sun shade, give them a try.
