In all seriousness, I would build a 6.5-06 or 6.5-284 so you could throw some 140+ gr match bullets like the Sierra MK, Hornady A Max, or Berger VLD.

thanks for the suggestions

just acquired a new 700 and the previous owner built a long action 308. he wanted to shoot 208 grains. so it has a long action with a long action drop mag system.

just thought it might be cool to eventually pull the 308 barrel and stick it on a reg short action and try something new with the long action setup
