Coyote hunting my lease this past Friday, I ran across a deer skeleton in a cedar thicket. Bones were scattered all over the place. I didn't find a skull but did find this jawbone. Does anyone have a good idea on age? I have very little experience with guessing these things but my inclination is 3.5 years old. No idea if it was a buck or doe.

I would lean towards 2.5, but the first pic is a little blurry on the first molar. There is enough wear on the side view to be 3.5, but the angle of the picture is hard to tell how much dentine is showing on the first molar. I still lean 2.5 and no older than 3.5.

For what it's worth though with my opinion and a buck ten, you can buy a large sweet tea at Mickey D's. :)
