Pretty good size hams in that top pic, would not be surprised if he appears to be 3.5 by late October once he fills out.

I'm gonna say 2.5, but like Andy said, he may be 3.5. the neck is long and skinny, so I am leaning towards 2.5.

He sure won't be but I'm tryin to figure out the age of my deer. I have just always went on antler size and I'm thinkin we have killed some younger deer with great potential. My dad killed one last year that looks old but the antler size wasn't there

Very accurate, "as old as he'll get"..... :tu: In all seriousness, aging any deer on the ground, with or without guts, is an exercise in futility, even more so than trying to age (guess) one in the summer.

I think it is easy to get caught up with the size of the horns when trying to age a deer. Some may not have the proper genetics to grow massive horns. That deer could just have a white face like a double throat patch. Only true way as we all know is to have the ware pattern on their teeth analyzed.
