Help On Purchases

Got a little windfall and looking to invest in a few firearms. Wanting a 1911 .45 Commander size to carry on occasion...thinking the Ruger SR1911 model. Then torn between investing in a black rifle, and rounding out with a .17....possibly, a varmint gun in .223 or .22-250.

Think that it is possible to achieve on a $2500 budget? Looking for recommendations if you have any combination ideas. Carry gun is first priority.

For black guns, I only buy daniel defense. I own a few if you want to see them in person, however none of mine will ever be for sale.

i have a couple of the ruger 1911's and love them both. Full size 5 inch model and the lightweight commander, if you are wanting to carry it, get the new lightweight version with the anodized frame. very, very sweet.

that will run you anywhere around $650-$700 ish.

black rifle....there are sooooooo many choices in that one. just have to handle them and see which one you want. AR's are kind of personal in my opinion.

varmint guns, its pretty dang hard to beat a Savage Model 12. They are absolutely sweet!

I would advise you not to handle a Kimber 1911. If you do, you will not be able to put it down and will blow out your budget. Not that I know from experience or anything. :)
