I have a Garmin Echomap UHD93SV. This came with a GT54UHD-TM Transducer; all is currently mounted and working correctly.
I have the unit mounted forward on my small boat, up near the trolling motor.
What I want to do:
I want to be able to move the computer unit from the front trolling motor area to the operator / steering wheel section and be able to use it in both locations.
From my research, I believe what I need is a UHD Boat Kit such as Garmin 020-00200-23... This kit would allow me to use my current computer with a new wiring harness, transducer and mounting bracket.
My concern: I cannot find a kit that has the GT54 Transducer like I already have. The kit I mentioned above comes with a GT56HW-TM transducer.
BTW: the kit is listed for about $550... a complete new unit would cost about $850.
Will my computer work with both transducers (different model numbers)?
What have you done with your boats in order to use one computer in two locations?
