I got a little extra money, I am thinking about buying a recurve. I want one of the best that I can buy. What companys make the best CUSTOM recurve bows??
 
In no particular order: Black Widow, Bob Morrison, Brackenbury, Schafer, Fedora, Blacktail are some of the top. Some will take longer for delivery than others, but they all put out a great product.
 
How much is a "little extra cash"???? Lots and lots of good custom recurves out there. More important than how much $$$$$ you spend, is to find a bow that fits you.

Just to add a few to the above mentioned bows: Zipper, Bears Paw, Marriah, Trails End, Great Plains, Horne's Archery, Hummingbird, Fox, and on, and on, and on.
 
Rivers Edge Recurves makes great shooting bows for a good price. Blacktail Bows are some of the prettiest I've seen and shoot nice too. Black Widows are always highly rated shooters.

The DAS kinetic bows shoot fantastic but don't meet everybody's definition of "traditional" with their aluminum riser and fiberglass limbs. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Product.a ... =0&i=8158X

Have you shot a few different recurves and longbows? Might want t go to a local shoot and try out a few before you spend a lot of money on a bow. My idea of a wonderful bow might not suit your tastes at all.
