It also came from Sumter Co., GA along the swamp. One guy, a geologist, said it was a natural iron formation while another guy says it is some kind of pottery. You tell me....

Looks like a small stalagtite or stalagmite.

Interesting find, looks more like a piece of pottery but if it has any ferrous metal (iron) you should be able to check it with a magnet. That would tell you it wasn't pottery but it could still be a foot off a large kettle drum or something like that.
