how do i get small surface rust spots off a stainless barrel? I take really good care of my things and my pro hunter barrels have some small un noticable spots that when sitting across my shooting rail i notice them. Just would like to clean them up '

any suggestions

Take a #2 pencil and color the spots of rust, turn the pencil over and erase and it cleans up nice ;)

turtle wax use to work on chrome bumpers I don't see why it wouldn't work on stainless steel, the stain-less is what fools folks, it will still rust but not as fast as regular steel,

I cannot stop it on my SS savage axis either. Teensy tiny spots. I use a soft brass bristle brush and gun cleaning oil to get them gone but I have no clue on how to protect the metal. Car wax may be a good solution, I will try it.

Brake cleaner and the white scrubbing side of one of your wife's cleaning sponges. Spray and scrub. If that doesn't work find a fine to medium Scotch Brite pad and do the same.
